A friend of mine dragged me into watching this. It's one of the best horror I've seen. I must agree with you that the ending is pretty surprising. Without spoiling to anyone it's probably one of the most dramatic film endings out there. Love the original book and the film adaptation

Arlington road, left me feeling very creeped-out. I was a lot younger then though!

That bit from 'Escape To Victory' when Sly Stallone was the goalkeeping hero...a real shocker that!

"Antichrist" I can't remember a film that was so intelligent and artsy and yet has one of the most horrific/ surprising pieces of knee clenching horror in it

The end of Braveheart where William Wallace was executed shocked me. Never before or since have I felt so much pent up emotion in a cinema as when Wallace cried freedom.
An Atlantean Triumvirate, Ghosts of the Past, The Centre Cannot Hold
The Pillars of Britain, Foundations of the Reich, Cracks in the Pillars.

My books are available here for Amazon Kindle. Feedback always welcome!

It shocked me too - how such an inaccurate film could ever make it on screen - I hate that damned film with a vengeance!!!!

Freedom from what, exactly? Presumably the freedom to be persecuted by the Scottish nobility as opposed to the English/French nobility instead? Bah!!!!
