Wont mention anything specific about it for those that have not seen it yet. Some have criticised it, some fair some not imo. I think people really need to see it themselves and concentrate as allot of the criticism appears to be from people who didn't pay attention, or grasp the premise of this film (or maybe had preconceived ideas on it)
sounds more like an arthouse flick.

It has a few bits that resemble Alien but won't go in to detail for those who want to watch it

imo the story line was a bit pants and alot slower paced than to should have been

Someone left a note on a piece of cake in the fridge that said, "Do not eat!". I ate the cake and left a note saying, "Yuck, who the hell eats paper ?

Cousin saw it in 3d, regrets it. Wishes he had seen it in 2d as the 3d is hardly noticeable.

I just saw it and enjoyed it. I felt as though it payed a pretty big homage to alien and in many ways was a prequel.

Nope, but lets just say its not a typical brainless Transformers type "shootem up" film

I can see a couple more "prequel films" to lead it up to where Alien begins timeline wise.

I can't decide if I want to see this. I rarely go to the cinema but this looked interesting in the trailer I saw. Going to wait and see what people say about it first.

Mainly on (contains spolier): how the newly born Alien species gets from LV-223 in (Prometheus) to LV-426 to be found by the crew of the Nostromo in (Alien)

I saw it today (in 2d) and I really didn't enjoy it.. Fassbender was brilliant but I felt the story as a whole didn't gel and it was very, very predictable (character x speaks dialogue, fate is immediately guessable and proves correct.)

I was really looking forward to this film, too. I'd rate it as no more than 6/10. Bah.

WHAT?You thought Avengers Assemble was bad? One of the best films in a few years imo, brilliant.

didnt like it - the ending reminded of tf3 too much ,and rest of it was just the usual cgi fest with cliche action and one liners.

I didnt relate or care about any of the characters or what happened to them at all- sry , id give it a 2 at best , even Thor was better .

i loved this. the 3D was very subtle so you aren't missing anything in 2D

avengers was absolute garbage though. the 3D make everything look even more fake

Ah i see, fair enough its clearly where our film opinions differ . Although one reason you may have disliked it is due to expecting a generic marvel based film? There isnt meant to be much character development as that was the whole reason for all the marvel films before it . Its a solid action film but for story yeah it isnt the top dog .
