Your favourite TV series...

BSG started off great and then got more and more annoying towards the end. The ending is meh!

I would say get Firefly and Serenity. Everyone I know who has watched it really enjoyed it.

Babylon 5 is good from the end of season 1 to the end of season 4 with season 5 having some decent episodes at the end.

Farscape as I mentioned before is a great series and know people who are not that much into sci-fi liking it. Of course I am quite surprised no one has mentioned Stargate SG1 or Atlantis which are quite fun to watch according to many people.

Regarding a war series,Das Boot is definitely worth watching.

If you want to watch something a bit different then what about an anime?? Cowboy Bebop is highly rated as is Ghost in the Shell. These are regarded as among the best anime in the last 15 years.

I dont usually like anime too much but Beserk was great, their redoing it too.

Was in my local HMV, I noticed that their price online was £50 so I went for it...

I think you got a real bargain, in Manchester each season was £30, a bit steep for me.

@Melon - Sherlock's excellent, a really good contemporary update. Get S1 on DVD, it's first rate stuff. Cumberbatch is great as Sherlock, but it's Freeman's Watson that really makes it as far as I'm concerned.

Inbetweeners - Best tv series ever made, doesn't fail to make me laugh - I recommend season 1 - And if you enjoy it , how about the movie? Deffo worth a watch

Did i see someone recomend terra nova? Oh dear, that was sooooooo bad! (i know because i watched the whole thing waiting for it to improve... it didn't)

I think all of those have been mentioned elsewhere, i cant recomend BB enough though, watch the first couple of episodes then from there you will be hooked forever! Il happily recomend some older series which are good too if you like.
One that was mentioned that HAS to be watched is Firefly followed by the film Serenity. With out the series the film is a bit pants but once you have seen the TV show... its the nutz!

I'm on S3E8 atm and it's absolutely bloody fantastic! The 9.4/10 on IMDB is definitely an accurate rating.
