Picking a favourite is tough but almost certainly has to be Babylon 5......but a short list of faves:
Breaking Bad
Stargate
Spartacus ("Blood & Sand" and "Gods of the Arena")
Sons of Anarchy
The Wire

Check this thread. It even has links to Intros

I liked House. I personally think that the first season of The Walking Dead is better.
The Big Bang Theory is nice. I feel like How I Met Your Mother is dragging.
Any other good comedy series?
Lost
Game of Thrones
Prison Break
The Big Bang Theory
Being Human
Spartacus
Walking Dead easy at number 1.
I would recommend that you watch Continuum, only 3 episodes into the series at present, really good watch ....
:)
Red Dwarf
Black adder
Stargate SG1
Sliders
Star Trek Voyager
Not in order
P.s they don't make them like they used to
Arrested Development is really great.
I got into community a month or so back and have now watched all 3 series. its an awesome show and one I would highly recomend to everyone :D
Babylon 5 - just working my way through the box set again and it's still wonderfully entertaining.
I had a re-watch in the past few months, and fully enjoyed (as I expected) everything up to the full-on Shadow War (half way through season 4), and then.... well, it was better than I remembered it to be, and all credit to them for the 'stop-start-stop... no start again' nature of how the series was commissioned to run and keeping it going story-wise, but season 5 in particular does almost feel like a different show.
Interesting though, and sad, to read about where the actors all are now (and too many have gone). Jerry Doyle sounds like someone who i'd enjoy an argument with over a beer though.
The persuaders
The Prisoner
Dads Army
monkey magic
Farscape
The Saint (roger Moore)
To many to choose !!!!!
