Jazz/Brass/Instrumental Suggestions?
I don't even know if the title accurately reflects what I'm after.
A compilation of tunes (artist/band suggestions are cool too) that sound similar the piano part of the GT5 intro ideally.
It doesn't have to be, or indeed, i don't want it to be limited to just piano - but stuff thats fast paced and mixes a variety of instruments would be best. I don't want there to be singing/words however - just the instruments.
Any ideas, have i even suggested the right genres? Although something tells me what I'm after is cross-genre and probably some sort of spin-off. :P
Re: Jazz/Brass/Instrumental Suggestions?
Try Dave Brubeck. If you want something different try Jean-Luc Ponty, Mystical Adventures (violin), Earl Kluch (guitar), Shakti (indian fusion jazz).

It's kind of hard to think of anything with the same feel and tempo but I'd still recommend the following as it's brilliant even if it's not exactly what you're looking for. Also +1 for Dave Brubeck, my favourite songs of his are Take Five, Blue Ronda A La Turk and Waltz for Debbie which has one of the sweetest hooks I've ever heard... mind you, the same could be said for all three Brubeck songs.
Solo Piano by Philip Glass.
Here's a link to the entire album on grooveshark. It's brilliant from beginning to end - http://grooveshark.com/#!/album/Solo+Piano/465712
