So I was watching Kick Ass, and I was thinking the sound track was really quite good. So I figured lets have a list three films, they don't have to be good, which have great soundtracks.
In no particular order, a strange selection I hope, which will surprise people:
1) Kick Ass
2) Hackers
3) Brokedown Palace
These are films which I thought the soundtrack was really quite good for the time on. Films like Forest Gump had a great one, but it was very predictable.
What do you guys think?
One of the best soundtracks I've heard was on Scott Pilgrim.
1) Kill Bill
2) Lord of the rings
3) Terminator 1/2
Personally the above films were made not only by the actors but the soundtracks within, kill bill for me was awesome especially the scene in the club.
I didn't enjoy Scott Pilgrim at all so I don't have much memories of its soundtrack.
I agree on Kick Ass though, I loved the soundtrack and it was a very enjoyable film!
One of my favourite film soundtracks is American Beauty, amazing soundtrack by Thomas Newman and a great choice of songs to back it up!

Do you mean soundtrack as in incidental music, or songs that are played at key scenes?
If it's the latter, Trainspotting captured the mood, as did Human Traffic...
Leaving las vegas - Sting and Mike Figgis collaborated on the sound track.

The Blues Brothers - Nuff said :D
Not really thinking but one I definitely remember is Brandon Lee's The Crow, thought the soundtrack on that stood out.

Can't think of three at the minute, but, Lord Of The Rings, I was expecting to be on more people's lists in this topic. Brilliant soundtrack on all three of them.

Hmm some good suggestions here, but I'd like to remind people they don't have to be 'good' films, for example number 3 in my post was a real 'meh' film, but had a soundtrack which was very much a zeitgeist.
Drive has an awesome soundtrack too, has a good 80's electro feel to it :)
