So you've £10 left in your wallet, what album do you buy for pure acoustic class?
For me it would be either Days of the New - Days of the New or Alice in Chains - Unplugged.
If I really had to pick just one, I would go for Alice in Chains.
Lisa Hannigan: Sea Sew :)
My favourite acoustic album is actually a bootleg, thinking about it, it contains a cover that sorely needs adding to the favourite covers thread but you can't buy it so I guess it's irrelevant..
Alice in Chains Unplugged would've be the retail album I'd recommend to be honest but seeing as Trash has called that I'll say Newton Faulkner - Hand Built By Robots :)
"Twice Reflected Sun" by Nancy Kerr and James Fagan....
I'd have to go with Alice in Chains unplugged to.
For me Foo Fighters - Skin and Bones
:)
AIC Unplugged £3.49 on Amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/Unplugged-Al...3989939&sr=8-1
First thing that sprung to mind was Eric Clapton - MTV Unplugged, so i'll say that until i can think of anything better. The Incubus AT&T acoustic set is also an old favourite but not really an album.
Keep it simple, The Very Best Of MTV Unplugged. :)
Otherwise I would have to vote for The Corrs unplugged - love it, love it, love it... :iloveyou:
It's good isn't it...
The tour they did after that (well after ESP&G) they came out into the middle of the floor audience and did a mini Skin&Bones acoustic set (about 6/7 songs) in the round - about 3 feet in front of me
It was either that or Nirvana MTV Uplugged just because it's such a classic moment, went against everything MTV asked for and usually did on Unplugged gigs - they didn't play their big hits, covered unheard of tracks, brought on non-mainstream guests, and decked the whole stage out like a funeral (very poignant given the last track and the concert's closeness to the demise of Kurt) and was the 1st MTV Unplugged gig to be done in a single take.
Another but not 100% acoustic classic for me is Beth Orton - Central Reservation.
Nirvana - MTV unplugged :D

I would say...in no particular order...sticking with purely acoustic guitar albums...
6 and 12 String Guitar (Leo Kottke)
...or something like that...
