Not quite 30 years old,but close enough!! :p
yup but that wasnt really a bad song IMO, plus most videos from the 80s by todays look-at-me " culture are a novelty now thats seen as cool, so I dont think that counts as they were being deliberately corny ( and could sing ) unlike Lisa who I think is trying to come off as being Fa'real.
Any one else agree ?
m
I do. I don't think it is a bad song either IMHO.
Do you remember this one:

That song was number 2 in the US in 1986!!
The group found their greatest success in America, with five Top 40 hits in the US, all charting between 1983 and 1987, including "Dance Hall Days" (#16 In the summer of 1984), "Everybody Have Fun Tonight" (#2 in 1986) and "Let's Go!" (#9 in 1987).

No mention about the UK.

Some groups for some reason are big at home like Status Quo but dont translate abroad,Tom Waits was the opposite, he wasnt popular at all in the US , but had good fanbase abroad.
Look at Dave Matthews Band , never heard of him at all till I saw him everywhere in midwest College towns.
Another good example is Robbie Williams ( adored over here - u can exclude me ;) but did O in the US other than rehab.
I think part of it , is because musical tastes used to have a clearly defined image and group of listeners who identified with it, we dont get some of those identities you take for granted the same you dont get ours , though these days its a lot more broken down through media and pop culture than it was.
Some of the stuff im listening to now for example, are things i would of never heard of in a million years before , esp since music neworks like Blip.

Their Canadians disguised as Swedes !!
Heres another song
Now I personally dont think its that bad - in fact I liked it back in the day, but I have hard time taking it seriously , when the lead singer looks like he walked right out of Modor :)
And another band that had some songs i liked that are clearly now looking for a miracle.
m
blah singing .. , and out of sync tempo but 10/10 for improvisation and style ..
heh
Spiderman and Superman duet you will never forget
m
That doesn't count, it's a good song! :P
A bad song that is so bad that it's good? This for me http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZUn-KtTNmA&ob=av2e
I always seem to listen to it when it comes on shuffle, I don't know why I really don't:redcard:
Now heres a song so bad its good..
not because its bad ( i love it ) but because the lyrics just sound so damm corny ( at least to me )
