    Supernatural Horrors

Can anyone recommend some decent, scary supernatural horror films? Doesn’t have to be a new release or in English (I’ve seen a few very enjoyable subtitled Korean ones), but must be scary!

    Thanks in advance!

I thought it was Thai? But yes, was a good one. Any other like that maybe?

Apparently, the Japanese version of The Ring was far scarier than the English-language version...

+1 I agree with this, also consider Ju On, aka 'the Grudge' Japanese version

To be honest, I've never seen the English-language version of the Ring, but loved the Japanese one.

Seen Ju On, and again, thought it was great. Love these type of films, so any more recommendations are appreciated. Also, if you 2 liked those, you may like R-Point if you haven't seen it.

    Re: Supernatural Horrors

The Others is pretty much my favourite film ever. It's spooky and classy - if you've not seen it then you must.

If you can stomach black and white films, the original 'The Haunting' is one of the most disturbing horrors ever. What is unseen is much more affecting than what you see...

I watched the original of 'The Haunting' last week after someone said similar, found it not scary in the slightest and well worthy of its '12' rating.

    Re: Supernatural Horrors

Each to their own...by modern standards it's a bit cheesy at the start, but as an exercise in how sound can be affecting I think it stands out. Maybe the remake with Catherine Zeta Jones would be a better watch, but it does still follow the 'less is more' mantra.

    Re: Supernatural Horrors

there was this movie but unfortunately i cant remember the name right now! it was about this scientist woman who thought of herself as being too logical and tried to explain things logically. then she is sent to a location to investigate somethings and other things happen (didn't want to spoil)
    have fun
