Star Wars Episode III - Revenge of the Sith

Well i've just noted that I've seen the name of the new star wars film, i'm assuming still planned for release next year. I'm wondering how soon the hype will start. As with all films with this sort of expectancy i'm trying to avoid listening to anything about the new film, and regardless of what people think of the first two films I love them, Yes they have been kiddified but I enjoyed them never the less.

Very intreagued to see if any lessons have been learnt from the relatively poor showing of the 2nd film ($432M for first only $311M for the second) has been learnt from and whether they will spend more time getting it all sorted so its a superb film.

I'm looking forward to it for sure, how about the rest of you?

I have to admit I am really looking forward to this film. I loved attack of the clones, and thought the phantom menace wasnt too bad. I think too many people were expecting the same magic of the original three from when they were kids.

I'm definitely looking forward, too. Whether it's as bad as The Phantom Menace or not, it'll still be a good watch... perhaps not in terms of quality, but in terms of concluding the prequels.

    Exactly.

The first film was atrocious, the second film was far better, the sappy chemistryless romance part of it detracted from it greatly. The last 45 minutes of attack of the clones was some of the most exhilerating cinema I've seen in quite some time.
With any luck, George Lucas will get the third one right.
Meanwhile I'll preorder my Starwars trilogy DVD boxed set

Absolutely. I really enjoyed the fight scenes in AOTC, great cinema. Hopefully 3 will be good - the darker starwars' have proven to be better (empire strikes back).

This film should be alot darker than the first two, that can only be a good thing imo. Can't wait to see Anakin turn into Vader and the defeat of the Jedi.

Well I have to agree Swafeman, the first Starwars films (IV, V & VI) we all saw as kids, this set of new starwars films (I, II & III) are just like the first lot aimed at kids but the kids of today.

It's all very well moaning that the lot we saw where more adult and that Lucus should have made the films for us rather than the kids, but we as kids where different to todays bunch and when you think about how much money he made off the mechandising off the first films - the toys, games etc. He's not going to pass it up by making the film that would intrest adults more than kids.

All said and done it might be a good film - but I'll be very supprised (plesantly) if it's a great film.

I think it would be nice if they remade the early ones.....as to me, now used to excellent special effects and such like i think it would be quite good to have the whole series with the same actors playing the characters....so have 1 - 6 done with all the nice pretty graphics etc....and then have a box set with the originals in as well.

Probably not a too popular idea for many...i think it would complete the star-wars story....

Star Wars Episode III is going to be just as crap as all the other ones. Episode 1 and 2 were dire.

There's gonna be one super space battle at the very beginning of this film lasting for about 20 minutes.

The mega light-sabre duel is gonna be on a planet with a surface of molten lava, hence why DV becomes disfigured.

OI if ur going to spoil then give us a warning!

And as for you blockers - go back and remake the first three? ur bloody mad mate. I'm no star wars crazy, but i believe the past should be left alone and remakes should require a public referrendum.

Ai, the Saber battles in the last 2 were very cool, but rather cold and passionless. They dont compare to the saber dual between luke and Vader in Return of the Jedi IMO. You can really feel the love and hate in that scene....brilliant. It's just a bit silly when vader chucks palpatine down the HUGE HOLE that happened to be in his room. He's a SITH LORD he can bloody hover if he wants i'm sure..

    [/rant}

I'm just tense cos i cant get my comp to work. If ur bored feel free to go over to the help section and .err...help me..
