As title. Are HEXUS members beyond the printed page already? E-books anyone?
No - keep it open.
I think we just don't get much time to read anymore. Not to mention the prices !
Society's to blame,
Or possibly Atari.
e-books can never replace books.
Something so satisfying from opening a nice large book, you don't get the same feeling from a kindle or whatever, even if the pages look similar etc.
This thread has reminded me I've got to reread Bernard Cornwells Saxon series since I've forgotten a fair amount, and want to save the most recent book till I know what's going on.
I can't read

I'd love to keep it open mate, im an avid reader.
If it helps, i pop reviews of books im reading or mention books im looking forward to, theres new Lee Child stuff otw and Michael Connolly also has a new one out soon. Love both those writers.
Robin Hobbs last book was excellent, but appears to have extended the series to a quadrilogy at least, still not a patch on The Farseer Trilogy or The Tawny Man tho, but few things are.
Terry Pratchett has a new discworld book out in September, i'm hoping for a return to form as last couple have been kind of lacking, more of a reminder of how good the discworld series is rather than a true addition to it, but with Terry's health maybe thats all we can expect from now on. I havent looked at his latest collaboration really, if anyone has any thoughts please post them (Long Earth)
Read the True Blood (Sookie Stackhouse) books a while back, its ongoing, different to the TV series, similar characters but dfferent stories (TV series does pay homage and vice versa). They are light hearted romance horror really, Not exactly Anne Rice stuff thank goodness, and doesnt debase itself to the level of Twilight either, but its just escape from work reading.
The girl i'm kinda seeing is reading Fifty Shades of Grey, have no idea what its about other than the rumours on the net, have no interest in reading it, but she's been dropping some hints about certain adult activities, reading is good folks, even if you arent the ones doing it!
I heard about that book on the radio, yeah it's an erotic book for women. It was on the Million Pound Drop on Sunday, as a possible answer to Adele creating a special one off album/song. The answer about the book was 'Only reading out the naughty bits in Fifty Shades of Grey'

E-books, as much as they save papers or whatnot, cannot replace an actual book. Nothing is more satisfying when you finish a thick book and let out a pleasant sigh. I like to read, but sometimes books are expensive to buyIntellectual property is very costy.
