Should vocaloids be recognized as real artists?
So I guess some people have heard about letting Miku (Vocaloid) sings at 2012 Olympic.
There are people supporting it and there are people against it. As far as I know there is an online petition regarding this matter.
Anyhow, I listen to vocaloid songs and to be honest a lot of them are better than some music artists nowadays.
So what's your opinions on vocaloids being considered and recognized as real music artists?
Few sample songs:

Re: Should vocaloids be recognized as real artists?
Depends whether you mean "real artist" as in "give credit on album covers to the machine", in which case yes. An old case in point being Gorillaz, none of which exist.
If you mean "say that the machine is considered a standalone vocal talent" then no - give credit to the people driving the machine. The developers etc.
Re: Should vocaloids be recognized as real artists?
By artists I mean as standalone vocalists who are credited to their albums/songs
So I guess a combination of both?? o__o
