That's being quite generous imho! It borrows heavily from other films (particularly 'Aliens'), even lifting one of Sigourney Weaver's lines practically word-for-word.

Couldn't finish it. Awful: heavy-handed, humourless, derivative to an embarrassing extent. Not scary, not exciting, not dramatic, not *anything*...
Snyder really is an appalling director IMHO.
And that stuck pixel drove me mad, thought my TV had broken! :embarrassed:
Screen Rant sums it up beautifully:

"Nobody" with Bob Odenkirk - just John Wick in a DLC skin, we enjoyed it
For me, Eurovision: The story of Fire Saga (shh, don't say a word)
Silly, random, kinda watchable, but that final song is amazing! It got an Academy Award nomination...
I do still want to watch Army of the Dead even though i've not heard amazing things
Occupation: Rainfall
Don't. I like cheesy sci-fi, but this is just rotten to the core. Nothing redeemable.
1917 - epic from start to finish. It feels like you're on a knife edge the entire time!
The Martian 2015 I love this movie !
Finally got to watch "Avatar" (the blue cat people one, not the airbender one) in 3D. Saw it in the cinema in 2D when it came out as the wife couldn't be convinced to see it in 3D.
I can now see what the fuss was about with that film. I always thought it was a decent story, but just wow.
Shame you don't seem to be able to get 3D TVs any more. Probably why the blu-ray was cheap.
Watched Tenet last night. Wish I hadn't to be honest, what on earth is going on with the sound. Dialogue too quiet, music & explosions too loud.
I finally decided to watch Shang Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings last night. Definitely had some of the best fight choreography I've seen in the MCU so far, so it's a must-watch if you're into that. Really liked the score too. Doesn't escape the classical MCU pitfalls though; like the messy CGI final battle, or the jokes that interrupt serious character moments.
Solid 8/10 for me.
Murder on the Orient Express
I watched this early last night; only took me three days! (Nothing can keep my attention, I'm sorry). I really enjoyed it. They managed to make compelling the mystery of who committed the murder--something that's often difficult in mystery movies, or books for that matter. It was also fascinating how many suspects each possible killer might have had; if they were holding something as a decoy (handkerchief) as opposed to what they actually used as the murder weapon, and if their narrative about finding out about the murder was accurate or not.
The Gray Man - Netflix Original
Overall I thought this was an entertaining cinema action flick.
I was thinking mostly during the film, I wish I was at the cinema watching this with good sound.
Best way to describe it as a Bourne & The Rock (not the wrestler) mashup, nothing groundbreaking that you haven't seen before but if you like those types of films this was good fun.
Not a Gosling fan by any stretch of the imagination, but somehow he fitted this.
Criticisms, CGI ropey in places, the ending could have been 15 minutes shorter.
An easy watchable - 6.5/10

Generic forgettable action flick, worth watching on a quiet night in when you don't want to tax your brain by thinking :D
6/10
