I rewatched Prometheus again last night, upon reflection I really enjoyed it and I wish we got a Prometheus 2!

    8/10

It was Ad Astra with Brad Pitt. Was a pretty intesresting movie, although it had a couple of weird scenes.

Last time I watched Signs. It has some charme but lacks many logical things to be a really good movie. Worth watching with popcorn to have some mystery & fun. Otherwise 6/10.

Thank you.....at last, someone else who thinks these films are extremely overrated. I think Keanu's a top bloke, and quite enjoyed the first film, but 2 and 3 were very repetitive and just a bit silly.

A couple of good films I've watched recently - JoJo Rabbit, and The Dish. Loved the dark humour in JoJo Rabbit, and the camp Hitler played by its writer and Director (Taiki Waititi). The Dish was great too, all about the pivotal role played by a huge radio dish in the middle of an Australian sheep field, in broadcasting the Apollo 11 moonwalk to 600 million TV viewers.

Several good elements, with a bunch of mediocre ones, mixed in to make a comoparatively bland vegetable stew, really...

I think the two biggest elements were the use of things like the Centre Axis Relock technique, and the stunning dedication Keanu exhibits to being as good as his character is... both of which become more obscured the further into the film series we get.

Re: Your most recently watched movie/film?

I watched Chappie last night as it’s currently on Prime Video. It’s nothing to do with dog food, think Short Circuit meets Robocop. The critics mostly panned it but, hey, what do they know. I thought I’d enjoy it as the Director was the same guy who did District 9 (Neill Blomkamp), and I wasn’t disappointed - thought it was excellent.
