    Re: Total Recall (2012)

Total Recall a movie with great action and adventure. Colin Farrell as Douglas Quaid was a factory worker and became the suspect of being spy. Len Wiseman is the director of this movie. And he had made such a entertaining movie to watch. All the other characters of the movie Lori Quaid, and Melina are also nice. And have done such an awesome work.

Didn't dig this film at all, I mean the cast wasn't bad but I just felt like i'd seen it all before.
    Oh wait..

It'll never beat the original from 1990.
One of my best sci/fi memories from as a kid.

    Re: Total Recall (2012)

I enjoyed it. Yeah, maybe a bit too much standard action movie stuff towards the end, but still enjoyable I thought and not as dumbed down as I'd feared given some reviews. Quite surprised how many people dislike it - I suspect a lot of it is cult movie snobbery about the original film.

Or mabee, as the film turned out to be exactly the same, just without Mars....

Just pointless this film for anyone whos seen the origional. There's not a single surprise.

Just seen this last week and thought it was an enjoyable updated romp....not great (although visually very lovely in places) but not bad 7/10

Love the cameo from the "two weeks" gag while he's in the space station. Found a gif somewhere comparing the two, there are many scenes that are very close as well!

The whole film was lame, plus there was again an anti British feel about it.

I quite liked it. Not a 'great', but well filmed well paced action movie with some interesting twists. And Kate Beckinsale.

    Re: Total Recall (2012)

I'm not a fan of the male lead but the movie itself was just another action adventure with some speculative scifi thrown in. It's about as true to 'We Can Remember it for you Wholesale' as Blade Runner is to 'Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep'. However, I'm a realist and realise that stories have to be adapted and at least Ridley Scott did a kick-ass job with the latter

I watched it on a flight last year and I thought it was not too bad. Wasn't expecting anything groundbreaking but was worth watching.

Also, the original author liked what he saw with Bladerunner too.

    Re: Total Recall (2012)

I watched this on Blu-Ray the other night.

I am a big fan of the original - loved the story line and wasn't sure what to expect with the remake.

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. There was enough variation in the story to make it enjoyable without feeling you were just watching the original but with different actors.
