Just finally got around to watching it. What an utter waste of time. Pointless ending and massive unexplained plot holes. I mean REALLY gaping plot holes. I want my 100+ hours back! :wallbash:

This is what I heard at the time from all of the aficionados.
I've been tempted to watch it myself, on the basis that I haven't hyped it up to be the greatest story in TV history, but by your account even then I'd be disappointed?
The only reason we watched past S2 was becuase we'd invested so much time we needed to see where it went and how they covered off some of the plot points, as you mention they didn't even do that...I'd never recommended anyone new to it should start watching.
Thank god im not the only one...
I watched one episode when it was "new and exciting" and just couldn't be arsed to watch another.........seems I have 99+ hours in the bank.....sorry you spent all your life savings bOredom......you should have watched Utopia instead..........every hour spent gave you a Lifetime of appreciation......and no bank would give you that kind of interest unless you had agreed in advance to sell your sister's kidney's for the price of a kebab.
For the future, might I suggest you marry a working class girl, because she won't have the finances or the marketing acumen to f*** you over before you have even met.........and your babies just might be real :) :)
Well, I loved it :D Series 1 and 2 are fantastic TV. Series 3 was good also. It got a bit confused in series 4 but picked up again in the final series.
I'm one of the few people who didn't mind the ending.
It's just a great story. I still think the opening scene of series 2 was the most genious opening I've seen. A brilliant OMG moment. Definitely worth watching if you ask me.
I stayed with it until the third season, & gave up after that...I agree it started of with an interesting premise, but it just got more & more ridiculous. A dead horse they they just kept on flogging...
If you want to watch Lost, watch the first and last episode. No point watching everything in between as you'll be none the wiser!
For anyone who liked the idea of Lost but not the execution, try Fringe. Its also by JJ Abrams so its a similar style its just much more consistent and finishes properly.
...but is no where near as good :) Funnily enough I thought the ending to Fringe was a massive let down.
thankfully i haven't seen either of these series so i have not missed anything judging by the reviews above
Lost started really well lost its way in the middle then picked up again. The final episode was a bit meh could have been better but wasn't awful.
Fringe started out superb but got a bit naff from season 4 on still worth watching both though a lot better than many other TV series out there
I'm currently loving the way netflix has entire series ready to watch back to back,
many of these series I dipped into but didn't watch all of - now I can watch from the start (and legally too!)
Breaking bad - done
Prison break - done
Lost next
I enjoyed the series a lot though i felt i had wasted my time when the terrible ending arrived. My advice is to watch all except the final series and make up your own ending..lol.
