Farewell to a King (Sea King)

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode...s_Flying_Past/

Doc with Jon Sergeant saying goodbye to the Sea king which is being retired, along with all our SAR Squadrons in 2016.

    Well worth a watch.

Re: Farewell to a King (Sea King)

Utterly, utterly disgraceful. Well, we're going down to Cornwall again this year, so I'll at least get a look at some of the beasties flying from Culdrose.

edit: I should note that a good friend of mine was rescued after a climbing accident where he'd fractured his spine by one of the RAF's big yellow taxis. Won't be any of those anymore. So, we're now an island that has no maritime patrol aircraft and will shortly have no air sea rescue aircraft either. Aside from whatever dodgy refurbs and castoffs the lowest bidder wishes on us.

Thanks Chuckskull - missed it on the TV.
I remember making one of these in an Airfix kit.
