Daft Punk - Random Access Memories

Eight years after the ****ty Human After All, the Frenchmen dressed as robots are having another go at a studio album.

All we have so far is 15 seconds of one track, as seen in TV ads - which is, of course, more than enough for electronica fans to assemble their own mixes and edits.

So how are y'all feeling? Expecting another Homework, Discovery, or Human After All?

Sounds ok , but I liked their earlier stuff more and that 1 song that had potential on the Tron ST

    A bit more of a leak: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B76pnLHM06Y

    This isn't electronica, it's disco.

I really like that, then again always thought of Daft Punk as being disco.

Yeah I didn't want to prejudice people against it but.... MEH.

I was going to go see them on their new tour this year, but if their album is all like this, I doubt I'll bother.

Its very generic stuff , their early stuff was a lot more interesting or even some of the stuff on Tron .

I dont mind fails if their at least trying ,but playing it safe like this is just 2 boring for my tastes, theirs plenty of better stuff out there if you know where.

I guess this is a prime example of how opinions differ, I love this song, it's been going round my head all day and for once i'm enjoying having a song stuck in my head!

Saw the advert for the single last night. I liked it, but my wife and #1 child pissed themselves laughing. I think it was the shiny suits that did it.

Re: Daft Punk - Random Access Memories

When I first heard the album I wasn't impressed. Felt like almost every track was 10-30 seconds too long. But after multiple listens, I'm hooked. It's got so much going on that it takes a couple of listens to really appreciate.

And for people hoping for something similar to their earlier work, the track Contact might be up your street.

    And Giorgio by Moroder...wow.
