    Re: The walking dead?

Given the premise of the Walking Dead I wasn't expecting much. Zombie TV series adapted from a comic - normally I'd give a wide berth.

However it has been very watchable despite the utter ridiculousness of some of the plot elements. Like the zombies can't climb ladders so instant easy way to avoid them.... But good acting and well filmed so thumbs up from me. Not so sure about season four so far, but I'm just one episode in so time will tell.

Watched first episode of season 4 and oh my lord - so boring, repetitive and slooooooooow. Yawn. AMC need to sort this show out otherwise its a chopping block...

I miss Breaking Bad where I couldn't fault even a single episode!

Do yourself a favour and stop after the first season. They just get slow and boring after that.

    Re: The walking dead?

I have to disagree with some as I think TWD has been fantastic from the start, the only real let down for me was the last episode before the mid season break as I feel they tried to fit to much in to one episode when it should have been spread over 2 or 3
Someone left a note on a piece of cake in the fridge that said, "Do not eat!". I ate the cake and left a note saying, "Yuck, who the hell eats paper ?

    Re: The walking dead?

Everyone loves the walking dead for some reason. I think it's boring with the exception of 1/2 episodes. It's only popular because everyone loves zombies now.

    Re: The walking dead?

TWD is a much more character driven show then most of what is on TV, but my god when it wants to create tension it does it fantastically. I come for the character development but stay for the jump scares.

    Re: The walking dead?

No love for the season finale? To be honest, this season has been pretty dire (The Governor was a great character) but the last few episodes have been great; has a lot of that WTF factor.

    Re: The walking dead?

The budget could do with being upped a little for what is one of the biggest TV shows in the U.S - I love the walking dead but much of this season was a little slow.

Look forward to the next series. Its crazy how many TV series star british actor or at least have them in supporting role.

    Re: The walking dead?

I'm avidly awaiting season 4 to come out on blu-ray so I can continue watching. I'm probably quite accepting of television programmes, as I can't say I found the show particularly bad at any point. Zombies are very de rigeur as someone else said, so that will account for some of it's popularity.

In the break, I'm now starting on Game Of Thrones to see if the hype is justified.

    (mild spoiler)
The whole wife hallucinogenic thing was a bit draggy I'll admit, and rather hard to believe.

To answer the op, so much better stuff to watch first! I'm probably too late though...
