Enjoyed S1, found S2 a bit boring, hope they step it up a gear for S3.

    Re: The walking dead?

Season 1 picks right up the further you get into it with a larger story arc at play.

Season 2 starts good, then a character goes missing and half the season they are looking for them, then they find refuge and you end up getting a stand off near the end between 2 lead characters. Season 2 is a bit of a slog to get through but worth it if you can get through it.

Season 3 was EPIC with some amazing characters, good locations, you get reacquainted with the character that was left aiming down the site at his wife in the first season. This Season gradually builds to a Crescendo that doesn't disappoint and another one of the group dies at the end, also a character from Season 1 re appears and you actually start to like him and understand him as a human being and his place in all of it, has a few very touching and thoughtful scenes, especially one with Miconne that seals his fate.

    Re: The walking dead?

First episode was pretty slow. I liked the rest of Season 1 though. (Season 2 was way too slow..).
It's an okay show, but i don't think it's great.

I've read the comic books, and they are bloody awesome, so if you're interested you might want to give them a try instead.

The first half of season 2 in a nutshell

It really picks up once you hit episode 7 though and it's totally worth sticking with it for season 3.

I really liked the dynamics with Shane , and TBH was disappointed in the Governor and Micchone , they just came over to me as being pretty flat for all the hype I heard, Shane was far more ambient and menacing.

I liked Dale too ,so their departure really made the group dynamics in S3 boring for me and 1 dimensional.

    Re: The walking dead?

I'll refer to the comics a bit here, but there aren't any spoilers I promise

The first Season of TWD is only 6 episodes long and is based on 6 comics. The series is separate to the comics and stuff did happen in the series that didn't happen in the comics but it felt like they had enough story squeezed into the episodes to make them fun and interesting.

The second season is 13 episodes long but was also based on 6 comics. Although they added their own stuff, it does go on and on for a bit too long on rather boring things. The characters are great, some of the interaction is great, but it does feel like they could've sped things up a bit.

The third (and most recent season) is 16 episodes long and draws content from a LOAD of the comics. We jump around 30 different issues in this series with things happening in different orders, and every single episode bringing something new and original to the table. Really great television and the reason why it's well worth slogging through season 2!

    Re: The walking dead?

Have also read the comics and with what the TV series is doing, it is definitely a show you will want to watch 100%.
