    I have also acquired this film since the thread went cold.

    Agree with most of what's been said before, it's naff but it's mental and fantastic.

    I'm relieved that the sequel isn't really a sequel but more of an exploration of the universe, I'll be first in line at the cinema.

    For what it's worth I watched this the other day too and enjoyed it for what it is. If you're an Amazon Prime member it's free (at the moment anyway) and Real Steel is on Netflix UK too (again, at the moment) - though they both might be off again by the time this thread gets another necro post.

    This is probably one of the best films I've enjoyed in a long time, who doesn't love massive robots beating equally massive monsters it's a dream come true.
