    Shutter Island: DiCaprio

    Don't... just don't bother.

It was so bad.... it hurt.

It's filmed in an odd way... overly contrasted I think is the way to describe it... it looks silly, and feels silly.

And ... you just feel all the way through that your own life is being stolen......

honestly... in a good mood I'd score it 3/10.

    it was rubbish.

I haven't seen it for quite a while, but I seem to remember enjoying it, twists and turns I didn't see coming, I mean I haven't watched it again but it certainly wasn't dreadful.

Watched this a while ago and let's put it this way, if I wanted to watch a movie, this definitely wouldn't be the first one I'd think of.

    Re: Shutter Island: DiCaprio

I thought Shutter Island was in many ways better than the highly rated Inception. Neither were good though - both just a bit too odd for their own good.

    Re: Shutter Island: DiCaprio

Really? I thought it was excellent. Towards the end it got a bit confused, but it was still excellent. The start with the long boat ride, the omnipresent sense of dread, the droning siren was especially good.

    A solid 8/10 imo.

I didn't mind watching it the first time but I'm in no rush to watch it again.

    Re: Shutter Island: DiCaprio

I would have rated this "Meh". Ok, but could have easily waited for the film to come onto tv. Wouldn't advise going out of your way to watch it.

    Re: Shutter Island: DiCaprio

6/10 for me, the idea was pretty good but the execution not so much, it was ok but still felt a bit disappointed in the end. 'Meh' sums it up nicely Rob.

Totally agree with that one of this best roles. The movie was well-thought in contrast to the book.

    Re: Shutter Island: DiCaprio

I'd give it a more reasonable 6/10. The twist at the end really caught me out, and for once I didnt see it coming.
The acting was average as was the plot. Definitely watchable imho.

    Re: Shutter Island: DiCaprio

i really liked the movie EXCEPT the ending. i wont give it away but that ending has been done SO many times throughout the years. i was so disapointed by the end i wanted to stop the movie.
