    Christmas Music Thread

I love Christmas. Really. A lot. A part of what I love is the music - although I'll say that I do think it's starting off way too early in places. In a heart of discovery and celebration then, I thought I'd ask Hexus to share favourite Christmas songs and albums to enjoy the favourites and maybe discover some new favourites to give that 'Now That's Christmas' album a day off.

To kick off, two albums I've discovered this year...

Classical - Christmas Fantastique (Moscow Symphony Orchestra)

Celtic - Sort of - A Magical Celtic Christmas

...and one off the wall album that I've enjoyed for a few years now:

Klezmer - Oy to the World!

    Merry Christmas!

Greg Lake "I Believe In Father Christmas" is always a favourite as is Pogues New York.

    Re: Christmas Music Thread

Chris Rea - Driving Home For Christmas.

Not sure what it is about that one, but it's the only song that can ever get me in the Christmas spirit. Cliff Richard's Mistletoe and Wine worked for a while, before I grew up and realised the heavy Christian overtones in it, so now it's just Chris Rea that does it for me.

Nope, not even The Pogues. I am Scrooge embodied until I hear the opening bars of Driving Home For Christmas.
