    Disney's FROZEN animated Film

I just picked this up and I think this is certainally IMHO the best animated feature to date.

It certainly on par if not better than the old classics of Beauty and the best, Anastasia and Pocahontas

The best thing is, the sound track isn't half bad either, there is a reason why it has been number 1 for the last 4 weeks in the U.S.

Here is my favourite song from the movie:

    Here

The story is very original, albeit loosely based on the 'Snow Queen' but tells a journey of two sisters who's differences pulls them apart but together again.

I rarely see such good movies to which I will never get bored watching time and time again. This certainly will be added to collection of classics.

The best thing is it's fantastic for all the family, whatever the age

    Re: Disney's FROZEN animated Film

Yeah good film, good story well told. The trailer for it was really funny, and hooked us in. Glad we went.

We saw it on first day of release at the local cinema, place was really empty. Does no-one go to the movies any more? And yes I am quite aware of how much a family ticket followed by drinks and popcorn come to, but I still didn't expect it to be quite that empty. Perhaps people go at the weekend?

Ylvis (the Fox Says people) did a rather amusing video where they switch from Disney style music to dubstep. Masterful stuff

    NSFW! Gets rather rude. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PaEnaoydUUo

The best? Depends what mood you are in at the time I suppose. Prefer The Incredibles personally. "No forcefields at the table!"
Watched "Arthur Christmas" just before Christmas. I wasn't expecting much, perhaps that is why I was riveted.

I've heard nothing but good things about this film so I'll definitely aim to watch it at some point, might try to time it with a visit home so we can watch it as a family as I think that would go down nicely.

I disagree with your "best animated" claim. The best animated movie of all time is Lion King.
The modern day Pixar 3D art is highly unappealing to me. I liked the old style where an artist drew the characters. I guess that's why more and more kids like watching anime rather than Jimmy Neutron type of 3D cartoons.

I agree its not the best film, but It was definitely much better than id expected when I went to go see it.
I think the reason kids are watching 2D cartoons instead of 3D is because, even an averagely animated 2D cartoon is bearable, but anything below top end 3D is horrible

    Re: Disney's FROZEN animated Film

I'm glad I saw this thread, now I don't feel embarrased about declaring this as one of my favourite films of recent years. Im on par with both "deejayburnout"'s and "Dan the Bloke"'s other halfs... I constantly sing the songs and during them akward silences or nice quiet moments, ask people "Do you wanna build a snow man".

It's a great film with a well written story and voice acting cast.

My kids usually watch either Looney Tunes Show or SpongeBob Square Pants.

It really isn't down to technology, more story/joke telling.

Lion King is a good example. Story rather similar to Shakespeare's Henry IV (a prince becoming a layabout then coming good, Pumba playing Falstaff) which is a good start, but told with lions and excellent music.

Whereas I always find Scooby Doo unwatchable. 3D wouldn't help.
