    Game of thrones season 4

Got season 4 starts 7th april.

Whos looking forward to it? I wonder how far they will change it from the books. Was a little disappointed with how they did the red wedding in s3 didnt have the same impact as in the book.

I'm trying to remain spoiler free, I'm reading the books slowly behind the series. Odd I know, but I enjoy it like that

Re: Game of thrones season 4

Didn't so much mind the red wedding, it would never have the impact of the books.

On the other hand I found the dismissal of Strong Belwas and the Yunkai siege somewhat disappointing. But hey some of the added scenes weren't too bad Littlefinger and Varys's conversation for example.

Re: Game of thrones season 4

I'm finding it hard to stay interested. Too many characters, most of whom are going to be treated cruelly, betrayed & die horribly. You can only do the shockfest thing a certain number of times before I don't care, and I'm there already.

Re: Game of thrones season 4

Haven't read the books although they're on a shelf next to me. I fear they might ruin the show for me, as adaptions usually are wont to do, so I don't know what's altered or left out altogether. Looking very much forward to season 4, because I think it's up there with some of the best tv ever made.

As for the red wedding I think it was quite shocking. Hadn't really seen that coming, although I had a feeling that wedding wouldn't go as planned.

Re: Game of thrones season 4

Not having read the books I was as surprised by the red wedding as I was when [redacted] was killed.

I'm looking forward to see how the story goes for season 4

Re: Game of thrones season 4

I just with George R R Martin would hurry up and finish the next book. Looking at the season 4 Teaser trailer it looks like the TV series will be fully caught up by the end of season 4... though with the current plot diversions they could easily take it in a different direction.

Re: Game of thrones season 4

Fully caught up by the end of S4?

It's the second half of the third book out of five! And who knows if they decide to split book 4/5 in to multiple seasons too.
