Does anywhere take VHS videos?
Hi All,
I'm having a massive clear out of stuff from home, and have found a complete set of Angel VHS videos. Watched through once. I realise that in this digital age, they're probably worthless, so I'm happy to donate them rather than just chuck them in landfill. Do charity shops accept them still?
Alternatively, if anyone wants them you can have them, subject to dropping a few coins in a charity box of your choice of course....

Re: Does anywhere take VHS videos?
I'm sure I've seen VHS films and TV box sets in local charity shops.
Re: Does anywhere take VHS videos?
Maybe put them on Freecycle? I had a load of old videos once, posted on freecycle and were picked up within the hour. Apart from that as has been said charity shops take them
Re: Does anywhere take VHS videos?
I've seen a few charity shops around Manchester with VHS tapes available (including a full set of Angel, coincidentally ;) ). So yeah, I'm pretty sure most charity shops will happily accept them. I'd take them off you but we've already got it all on DVD!
Re: Does anywhere take VHS videos?
Yup most charity shops i've seen have loads of them! As Jon said freecycle is also a good shout, someone will take them off your hands for sure
Re: Does anywhere take VHS videos?
it depends on the shop. for shops that don't sell it, if you are bringing other stuff in with it, they will take the lot (no one is going to dig through your stuff in front of you). if you take it in on its own, they might say no (someone else might make better use of it), or more likely, they would say yes and then bin it after.
Re: Does anywhere take VHS videos?
I took my videos to a charity shop and the lady didn't accept them because she said once someone put porn onto them! The other one across the road took them no bother though. :-)
