Anyone else watching this? Missed the boat on season 1, but season 2 is gripping (imho).
*Have now caught up on series 1 to fill in the gaps, but S2 is still better.

Have just ordered Series 1 as everyone that's seen it thinks it's brilliant.
Let's hope so.
I follow it and must say for it's simplicity i very much like it. I think the characters make this a good serie.
how do these things miss me?
I shall go find :)
thanks 0iD
It's quite watchable although I feel it's a bit too dumbed-down for the masses.
Series 1 was watchable, but not great. Its like someone took all the tongue in cheekness out of spartacus, then tried to cross it with tudors.
Heard relatively good things about it (I think) and it's something I want to watch, but got some others I already have I should go through first. (just started Black Sails)
Sounds great for the Mrs. She likes all the Tudorey Spartacussey Borgiarey sort of period dramas...
Where can she watch/stream it in the UK?
Me and the missus are enjoying it a lot - only reason we are keeping lovefilm, er Amazon prime. It has a few surprises every now again, the "festival" near the end of S1 being my most memorable.
Season one was great to begin with, but I felt it got a bit lost over the last few episodes. Season two has been very enjoyable though.
Never heard of the head man before so looked him up on wiki. Real spoiler; I highly recommend you don't.
Love the series watching it on my amazon prime account :-)
Its available with http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/feature.h...pf_rd_i=468294
I liked Season 1, but I really love Season 2 thus far. It got *deep* *fast*.
I d/l Season 1 and watched it all.. and it got me hooked ,love it
Beats game of thrones a 1000 times, GOT was good in the start but became more of a soap the last series wich annoyed the hell out of me.. too much talk , not enough action
Yeah I started watching when season 1 was coming out and it is really great. The story never stops for a break so you can't really miss an episode (never mind a season!), who knew Discovery channel could put out a TV show that in my opinion matches top shows like Game of Thrones and Walking Dead in quality.
Only part I find weird is when the Vikings and the **SPOILER** English meet and to the audience they are both speaking English but to each other different languages.
man season2 part 7.. i never thought i ever would see the red eagle tortue technique in a movie haha .. too cool XD just missed a lot detail
Yeh this was a gem of a show for anybody who likes Game of Thrones, Rome etc. The main character and his brother are well developed characters and I am intrigued to see how the raids to England continue ( Despite knowing the references to the 'historical' figure~)
Agree, Season 1 was pretty good, but season 2 is brilliant. Only 2 more episodes to go after fridays :(
Is this as violent as Spartacus?
The violence is very dumbed down, which is a shame IMO and the main thing that lets it down. We are dealing with Vikings raiding England....I am pretty sure it was considerably more brutal than the way the show portrays it.
I still haven't watched season 2, but from what I recall off season 1 it was pretty violent, it wasn't quite as gratuitous as spartacus, but then that wouldn't really have fit with either the plot or the aesthetic.
