    Recommend an Anime.

I've recently been watching some Anime, and I have to say, they're quite the watch. Its new experience for me, a new type of entertainment, and I like it. I just finished episode 4 of Future Diary. It is amazing, but I know its a short series, and I'm going to want more. Any recommendations?

I recently watched Attack on Titan which I really enjoyed.

The other one I've watched is Afro Samurai, Samuel Jackson is just too cool

The above link is the depressing amount of Anime I have watched and my simple ranking for such. I haven't updated my top10 list since 2010 but back then it was the following:

    Bakemonogatari
    Angel Beats!
Kara no Kyoukai Movie 1: Fukan Fuukei
    Spice and Wolf
Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion
    Clannad After Story
    Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
    Toradora!
    Eden of the East
    Death Note
    Full Metal Panic!
    Cowboy Bebop

It's change quite a bit since then but my mind is kind of blank at the moment. Attack on Titan and Sword Art Online where both excellent new series.

Yeah, I remember seeing Afro Samurai a while back. Thanks, because now I remember how much I liked that film.

I learned early that Manga/Anime generally isn't my kind of thing.
I made myself watch "the classic" Akira... which was okay...
The two I did seem to like were The Ninja Scrolls and Princess Mononoke.

Dunno if that helps as a starting point...

Try Ghost in the Shell if you like sci-fi and cyberpunk.

The films can be slow, but the series is more political and is quite well written.

    Re: Recommend an Anime.

Tried a few but he only thing that ever floated my boat was 'The Vision of Escaflowne'. Not sure why i liked it as it suffers most of the superficial dumbness of most other manga. Probably i liked the art style a little better and the plot wasn't completely trivial.

    Re: Recommend an Anime.

I remember watching DragonBalls and Studio Ghibli films when I was young and began watching various anime. I personally like School Life, Sci-Fi + Mechs, Romance, Comedy and Mystery/Paranormal ones.

Angel Beats and Clannad After Story are good but sad ones. Don't make a mistake my friend did... he watched those two plus another sad anime, Ano Hana... he couldn't stop crying xD.

My personal favourite is Eureka seven.

    Original or Brotherhood?

I love them both but I think brotherhood takes the crown.

    Original.

Brotherhood most definitely does take the crown but that could be because we watched them second, I tried an episode of each out on my Brother and he found the Original easier to follow.
