This book has made me laugh so hard and yet twice made me so tense that I had to put it down....so accurately does it portray real life!

Ian Moore is a stand up comedian who is a devoted Mod. The full gamut of sharp suits and odd colour combos.

His ocd likely matches my own but with the added pressure of his clothing needing to be immaculate!

Now imagine him moving to an old farm in France...surrounded by mental animals and having 3 children....but commuting back to the UK to tour comedy gigs!

I laughed so hard I had to read in another room or alone for most of it as my patient missus couldn't deal with it :-)

It's funny enough to genuinely recommend to you all

The descriptions of french life and the local attitude to various things made me splutter with pleasure at not having to deal with them

So....be it for yourself of for a gift for someone else....go buy this book!

9/ 10 and way way outside my normal genre

cheap too, and yes I still read paper books!
