Anyone 'enjoying' (if that's the correct word) this very solemn, slow, infuriating but IMO well-made sci-fi/mystery series? If Ep 1 confuses you, I suggest starting at Ep 9 (yes really) - it'll make much more sense that way (bloody flashbacks a la 'Lost'! )... I guarantee it!

And yes, it's from Damien Lindyhop, one of the co-conspirators that enabled 'Lost' to be foisted on an eager and unsuspecting audience, only to jump the shark at the very last minute (even later than Battlestar Galactica)... since this is based on a novel I'm hoping there is actually a storyline that concludes adequately and not just made up each season on the fly

Yes but a very melancholic experience and quite a few deviations from the book but I think they work really well. However as the book has no real conclusive ending I doubt very much that the show will either but I suppose that thats the point.

Blimey yes melancholic is the right word for this, was almost in tears at the end though at least there was some sort of chance of redemption for my favourite character...

...and what an actress. Must admit I'm a bit in love with Ms. Coon (despite her rather unfortunate name)... feared the worst tbh.

Bad news about the book - looks like another 'on the fly' or 'on a wing & a prayer' writing series that'll never end in a satisfactory manner

I also really enjoyed Resurrection which is based on the book The Returned but not connected to the French film & TV Series although I could be wrong about that.

Yes, always waiting for the next episode. It has me hooked, wanting to know where it's going next. The last 2 episodes have been awesome as well, really ramping things up a notch.

Was surprised when I was told the chief is Louis Theroux's cousin.

I can't give this series (just renewed for a second season, by the way) a ten because nothing is perfect. If there was a rating for "As Perfect As Possible"? Hence the nine.
