Me and the Mrs enjoyed Breaking Bad and were looking forward to this. Only watched the first episode and managed to fall asleep 10 minutes from the end. Not impressed so far but do want to give it another chance as I understand it gets much better.
Supposedly the same with Breaking Bad. 6 episodes in I was still waiting for it to get good...
What's this series about?

Add me
without the Breaking Bad tie-in, i think a lot of people would have stopped watching it by now and labelled it rubbish. if they're going to spend the next X number of seasons drip feeding us the prologue to BB and/or character back stories then I'm not interested as 6 episodes in it's just boring. I'll still watch this season in the hope that it becomes interesting
It isn't the best thing on TV but I wouldn't call it boring.
The side story going on with the ex-copper-turned-parking-attendant has been quite good so far and I hope they bring a couple more interesting characters into the story soon.

Love this so far! Hopefully they will tie it in with BB in time and sorta give BB one last run before its done for good.
Halfway through S2 of Breaking Bad and still waiting for *that* to pick up beyond the occasional smiler moment! Where's this "Amazeballs" series everyone was telling me I had to see...?
Watched 2 or 3 eps of Saul, gave up and watched '71 instead.
I found S2 of BB to be quite slow, S3 builds really well and by S4 I don't think you'll need much encouragement to keep watching. Of course different people like different shows though, even if half the world likes something it's no guarantee that you will too. I think I'd find BCS pretty rubbish if I didn't get the BB references/characters.
I'll give it a bit longer, I guess... I'm mostly into Game of Thrones, Vikings, Big Bang, Sons of Anarchy... actually, that and UniChall is about all I watch on TV.
I am skipping past this at the moment, have 3 episodes unwatched.
Hell, I am now even watching "Forever" before thinking about BCS.

Clearly the show isn't for you. Personally, I think Better Call Saul is incredible, especially the last 4 episodes. I'm talking Breaking Bad season 5 quality. I find myself rewinding parts all the time just to watch the stellar acting.
If you're the type of person that needs 100 things to be going on at the same time or need 'jokes' being cracked every 5 seconds, then you're going to hate BCS and BB. Go watch Friends or Lost or something.
One more episode of S1 left for me then it's the wait till 2016 for Season 2. Fingers crossed a third will be ordered as I'm running out of TV shows I like!
Just finished the first season with my wife and I gotta say we're both really disappointed. The show itself is great, but the pacing is just TERRIBLE. So many minutes were lost on the dullest moments (the entire grandma thing in Mijo for example), and the season finale just felt rushed.
I'll give the next season a chance, however if they continue dragging it as much as they have, I'll probably skip the series as a whole.
True Detective has spoiled me when it comes to compressing the story and yet develop the characters fully in 8hrs haha
Like others - the pacing is bad. But overall it is a good show and easy to watch/follow.
