    Daredevil - Netflix

If you ever needed a reason to get Netflix, even just for a month, this is it

watched the lot over 2 days, utterly brilliant.
Similar to Arrow, grittier, bloodier and i want to say more realistic even knowing how that sounds. Mainly because it doesnt involve incredibly hot women who just happen to be computer geniuses and can hack NSA databases in 30 seconds using only a palm pilot. Not saying that there arent hot female computer geniuses out there, just saying that its more realistic to have a really hot nurse there to stitch you up when you get hurt instead

edit : really hoping next series doesnt involve hot hacker woman stereotypes

I quite enjoyed it as well. Almost made me forget about that utter disaster of a film 10 or so years ago with Ben Affleck....

What i like about it is that its as much about the Kingpin as it is Daredevil, its really well done.

    Re: Daredevil - Netflix

I've been looking for something to watch since I finished House Of Cards. Might give this a watch then.

What is the Arrow you talk about? Hot female computer genius?? I'm up for that!

Yes, forget Batfleck, forget Agents of Shield and Agent Carter....this is how they should have been done. Much darker and brutal, a bit like what Nolan did to Batman.

"Only" watched the first 12 so far, need to watch unlucky 13 tonight! I do feel the main character could have been cast better but he is good enough.

My only problem is the age-old DD problem, he isn't much of a superhero. Essentially his special power is great hearing :S Wish they had chosen a different character for this series.

He's perhaps not a great superhero when compared to the likes of The Avengers, but the fact that he doesn't have mega superpowers is kind of what makes it more believable... relatively speaking.

I'm still not sure how to feel about it, I'm almost at the end of episode 2 and for some reason I just can't get into it.

Genuinely one of the best TV shows I've watched in recent while. I never thought Marvel could get so dark, it doesn't pull any punches.

Overall I thought it was excellent, there were a couple of episodes though that I thought were more like fillers as they didn't really seem to add anything to the main story line.

As far as I understand it there haven't been any talks about a direct second series. Netflix are doing 5 Marvel series, 4 based on individual characters (Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist) and the 5th series, The Defenders, featuring all 4 of them.

So you could consider A.K.A. Jessica Jones to be series 2.

Wifey and I are just coming to the end of another series we are watching on Netflix, so its a toss up between this and House of Cards. Both sound really decent but maybe with DD being a bit shorter might start that first
