Macgyver 2016

Watched the pilot...
... Because I watched the original thrice, starring RDA, I was disappointed with the pilot. It takes bits and bobs from the original Macgyver series but is nothing like it. Thornton is a woman, Mac has a gf, Mac has a room-mate who is a Chris Tucker from Rush Hour, Jack is an ex-Marine sniper and the new Mac cannot work alone and needs his team of geeks and hackers - a theme which is being used in every show at the moment! And the endless cheesy lines and teenage dialog is another letdown.

OILSHEIKH VERDICT : AVOID. Only watch if really bored

Watching 'The Night Of' at the moment..really good up to now four episodes in. Recommended.

There's some classic Episodes of Seinfeld, I enjoy watching a couple every now and again (Getting close to Festivus time aqain..!)

Finished Walking dead Season 6 - enjoyed it and a heck of a cliffhanger. Also watched the Fear the Walking Dead spin-off, which was also very good for a 6-parter.

Currently watching Marvel's Jessica Jones, it's slow going but has potential. David Tennant plays a decent bad guy.

"The Blacklist", "Mr. Robot" and "Fear the Walking Dead" but I miss "Person of Interest" as I really enjoyed that !

I recently started watching Madam Secretary

Managed to binge through first 5 series (not seasons) of Walking Dead in 2 weeks - will now watch 1 episode a day of series 6, in time for series 7.
As per usual, my original decision not to watch an over hyped American TV show was wrong.
Only downside is that I think that I preferred the me that was a bit squeamish of gore.

Mr Robot. Epic. Confusing and beguiling all in one. Love it.

Really enjoyed the attention to technical detail in this show. Felt a very familiar theme and well yeah, the major plot and themes have been done before in a popular film (although I guess that's quite old now).

I'm not sure about watching season two.

I recently started watching Madam Secretary

I did this too, I was really enjoying it, but I'm not sure if I got through a load or just stopped watching it.

I'm currently educating the mrs in TNG. We're just starting the tricky transition to DS9, not sure if we'll make it as DS9 is a bit of drag in comparison for the first couple of seasons.

The Last Man on Earth.

Just finished season 1. Very dark comedy and surprisingly funny considering it's American.

Luke Cage. Quite dark in places but a good watch for the 13 shows in season 1. Enjoyed it much more that Jessica Jones tbh.

"Stranger Things" on Netflix. If you like Half Life/X-files type scenarios you will like this.

Luke Cage. Quite dark in places but a good watch for the 13 shows in season 1. Enjoyed it much more that Jessica Jones tbh.

I've enjoyed it, but I preferred Jessica Jones, certainly for the earlier parts of the season anyway. I found Luke Cage very, very slow going, but appreciate that the much of the first few episodes were helping build the back story a bit.

Just watched Luke Cage myself and am currently re-watching HIMYM (I like having a show I have watched before on in the background).

Really enjoyed Luke Cage but thought they killed off the best character too early, even if it was for character and plot development.
