What TV show are you watching right now?

just rewatching the west wing, thought the first time with my girlfriend who has never seen it, To think some of the things classed as a scandal at the time compared to now.

Fantastic! Yes, it brings a lot of things like that into sharp focus, for example, how much closer democrats and republicans were back then.

I'm two episodes into 'Call My Agent' - the english title for 'dix pour cent' (ten percent), a french show about the the film industry. It's kinda dramedy, it's very french, particularly, Parisian, it's enjoyable if not blowing my world away

Rarely these days does anything on TV catch my interest. But currently available on iPlayer is a travel documentary, The Americas.
Originally shown in 2019 but I guess with the last year lacking content they're going for a re-run, though I didn't see it when originally aired.

The only thing I had to relate to in Alaska was Dumb & Dumber so a real insight was very interesting.

I'm re-watching Seaquest DSV for about the 4th or 5th time in my life, it's probably my 2nd fave sci-fi series.

Also been watching The Strain on Disney+... it's a mix of Las Plagas from the Resident Evil Series, which I assume was the inspiration for the vampires on Blade II... this show was co-created by Guillermo del Toro (director of said film). On second season right now, first was decent, second is dragging a bit.

I really liked His Dark Materials series 1 and 2. I read through the whole trilogy in a couple of weeks as a teenager, I think Philip Pullman is a great character writer, and he borrows a lot of really interesting ideas from Greek mythology, like the concept of Daemons, a tangible aspect of an individual's soul, sort of like a spirit animal.

The references to string theory / other dimensions are intriguing too.

They did change some things though in the TV series, like mortality of daemons. In one scene, a character kills another person by basically crushing her Daemon/soul

The books were for children growing up, the tv series is more adult/ darker. Also, the books were more ambiguous with things to do with daemons ('dust' too), which I preferred.

Can't wait until series 3 next November.

Currently, I am watching Parasyte, the anime. It was about time I gave it a go! So far it's pretty good and I feel like it's getting better as the story progresses further. We'll see. I am also catching up on Demon Hunter, which I also quite like.

I just finished season 2 of 'For all Mankind'. Had to suspend my disbelief, but it was entertaining. Shadow and Bone is next!

I finally watched the last 3 episodes of Person of Interest, talk about setting it up for a spin off, however, given the amount of time past it looks like that's not happening..
They could easily set it so Fusco and Finch are nothing to do with it anymore and it centres around the 'other' group that appears in the last season, plus Shaw as and when they require someone with a more specific set of skills.

Oh, I loved that series. Think it's been a couple of years since I binge watched it. Yeah, doubt there'll be a spin-off at this point, too much time has passed.

Just started Mythic Quest: Raven's Banquet on Apple TV+. It'll be the fifth show I've watched on there I think, after The Morning Show, For All Mankind, Trying and Ted Lasso all of which were pretty damned good. Side note, HIGHLY reccommend Ted Lasso, one of the best feel-good shows I've watched in ages.

I've been thinking about giving Mythic Quest a try. Have to agree with you, Ted Lasso is amazing - one of my favourite shows.
