    The revenant and star wars

The revenant best movie I've seen in a long time. I don't get why majority of star wars fans hate on the prequels they are excellent. Acting is much better than force awakens that's for sure the characters were also more believable. Kylo ren for instance was a comical fool. And what's with all the hand shaking when using the force lol.

I still need to check out The Revenant. Star Wars was amazing! And I wasn't a fan before either

Re: The revenant and star wars

I found The Revenant to be quite a snooze-fest TBH.....there was that scene with the bear that was brilliant but the rest of the film wasn't that far from many of old westerns I watched as a child.

Wish I'd taken Mark Kermode's advice "...watch it on the biggest screen that you can find" - fabulous film.

In my opinion TFA is completely different from the prequels. It's very much like a reboot of Episode IV, there are a lot of nods to EpIV in it. I'm still not sure how much I enjoyed it.

I've watched Revenant and I think it was a good movie, the story is good as well as the cinematography. I believe Leo De Caprio has a chance on winning the Oscar's this time.

Re: The revenant and star wars

TFA was almost scene-for-scene a remake. Enjoyed it though and looking forward to rewatching it and for Ep8.

Revenant was good, not great, amazing camerawork and direction, story just wasn't that gripping for me. Guess that's real life for ya!

Re: The revenant and star wars

Loved the force awakens, quickly became my favourite in the series despite the strangely borrowed plot. Great characters and effects, though I thought ol' Kylo was pretty weak.
Didnt really like the revenant, Leonardo crawling through snow and wheezing got a bit dull after the first hour and the rest of the story didnt do much to make up for it. Good direction though, very nice to look at and i always like Tom Hardy.

The Revenant was not so good but DiCaprio's play was as good as usual, Oscar well deserved I'd say.
