Thumbs up Deadpool (or the "seriously, this deserves its own thread") thread

I just watched it tonight and it was everything I expected, in a good way, really, it's awesome!
I've not read the comics so can't comment on the similarities but it seems to be the same humour and action that I gather is in them.

It's totally deserving of its decent review scores!

Morena doesn't seem to have aged since Firefly either, in fact quite the opposite and as for Mr Reynolds... Cracking performance!

I'll never look at a unicorn the same way again..

    Reynolds makes this film.

Exactly what I was hoping for and expecting. Irreverent as hell and doesn't take itself seriously in the slightest. One of the few films I'm happy to pay cinema prices to go to see.

and he's just picked up a massive bonus ....great film everything deadpool should have been yes i'm talking to you ..
What does it matter now if men believe or no?
What is to come will come. And soon you too will stand aside,
To murmur in pity that my words were true

Did anyone else stick around until after the credits for the extra snippet?

I wanted to mention something deadpool mentioned in that snippet - but now i'm thinking thats a bit of a spoiler. It all looked a little thrown in last minute

I Knew it was coming, has to wait a while though! half of the cinema left by the time it came up. Glad I waited!

Half the cinema? Usually I find myself the only one left after the credit (for this movie there was only one other person).
I enjoyed the movie, but found the last battle to be not that memorable. I guess that the bad guy never came across as a credible threat.
I was amused that a mother and very young daughter sitting next to me left within 20min of the movie starting. Guess it wasn't what the mum expected!

You managed to confuse me there, was certain that Nathan Fillion wasn't in the film.

I watched on its release night and also found it to be great, the cinema was full, with all of the seats pre-booked and people being turned away at the door.

The whole audience was laughing throughout the movie and it was a great experience.

Definitely going to buy the Blu-ray and watch it again.

This might be a bold statement to make, considering all the superhero films that have come out, but In IMO Deadpool was the best Superhero film to date. Spiderman(2) comes in at a close second

Really? None of the spiderman films were particularly good, the first one (2002) was pretty decent but it has been all downhill since.
