Well, I got everything set up on Friday night, and after fiddling to get the 'Smart' remote set up, it's all good. SD looks OK, but obviously has a few glitches. HD channels on Tivo (1080i) look pretty good. Amazon and Netflix 4k look great, and UHD Blu-Ray with HDR looks magnificent. Life of Pi is certainly a brilliant film to show off the capabilities, and isn't too bad a film on its own. The Whale-leap scene is truly spectacular.

As others have said, Life of Pi was amazing visually when I saw it in theatres, would look great on a 4K screen. Pacific Rim is a good choice too, as well as Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon which just got a 4K release.
tron legacy, there is'nt a 4k release, but the 1080p still looks good and you can find faults in your monitors fake spec refresh rate

Watched this a few days back and I was very underwhelmed. As a reference film, there's not enough colour to give it any wow factor or show off any HDR aspect. It's a very grimly shot film - lots of mud, blood and more mud and not really suited to showing off your new TV.Quote:

Life of Pi, The Revenant, Deadpool, The martian and Mad Max have all been pretty good in 4k so far.
