What's this film's name?

I remember quite a few years back (around 7 years ago perhaps) I watched what I believe to be a film with the following basic premise:

A successful, hardworking Muslim guy is just going about his daily life but gets falsely imprisoned, accused and harassed by the police. This doesn't only happen once so the guy eventually ends up losing his cool and ends up joining the extremists in trying to blow up the police headquarters. It's either set in the US or London.

Nope, I think it must have come out between 2000-2010.

Would you say it was big budget or indie?
Any recognisable actors/directors?
Any distinguishable locations, i.e. pub, restaurant, monument, building etc...
