Re: Your 4K recommendations (Bluray etc...)

Just been to check and stand corrected, Netflix app on Virgin shows HD! Though the Netflix app on the TV shows HDR. Doesn't seem to be any quality difference between the two though ??

I found the reddit post interesting, I always assumed it was filmed in 4K, visually it looked excellent.

Alongside Planet Earth 2, Blue Planet 2 is absolutely stunning in 4K, well worth the money for the upgrade over broadcast.

OK,but I saw it on Blu-Ray on one of the better Samsung 4K TVs(10 bit panel and can do upto 1000 nits brightness) and it looked utterly amazing.

But as mentioned earlier,I would definitely look for Bladerunner 2049 when it comes out on Blu-Ray. That looked utterly amazing on the Superscreen at the O2 which uses 4K projectors.

Oh yeah, I can believe it (Avatar) would look great as an upscaled BR on a 4k set, but imagine what it would be like with HDR.

I watched War for the Planet of the Apes UHD at the weekend, that was pretty spectacular. And I don't know/care what the DI was.

I've pre-ordered Thor Ragnarok on 4k Blu Ray, should look very shiny!

It was originally in 4k on netflix for first two episodes then it was downgraded as it was trumping the quality of the CBS version.

It is in HDR so unless your TV is really good it probably wont look much different, just better colours.
