    Dracula

Anyone watch it last night? Thought it was really good and well made, strangely comical in places. Well worth a watch

    Re: Dracula

This is the BBC one? My wife doesn't do horror so if its not scary we'll give it a go. Otherwise will watch solo. Bit stuck on stuff to watch together, the witcher is something I want to try as I like the books.

After reading the term 'taped' i realised I still have a VCR invisibly under my sky box but the tapes went quite a long time ago!

    Re: Dracula

Gory and a bit silly. I rather liked it.
Like the wolves attacking the nuns in the background whilst the Count enjoys a little sit down
    Society's to blame,
    Or possibly Atari.

    Re: Dracula

2nd one seemed to start without explaining what happened at end of the 1st one. Unless I missed something.

Van Helsing was obvious character from her questioning and knowledge in the 1st on but felt she was more of a narrator at start of the 2nd one.

They way the 2nd one was going made me feel it was going to tell story over several series but the end made a very good twist which I wasn’t surprised by coming from the writers. Bodes well for future series as I can see BBC trying to cash in on things like this, Sherlock, Dark Materials etc.

The 2nd one tells you what happens at the end of the 1st one about 20 minutes into it

    Re: Dracula

I enjoyed most of that last episode. I didnt enjoy the "legal bit" at the start - I get they needed a way for him to get out, but I thought that it was a bit silly, given how semi-realistic they had tried to be all along, in other ways I don't think the characters would really let it happen that way (deliberately a bit cryptic there in case someone hasnt seen it yet!).

I got over that bit quickly though an just enjoyed the rest of it. Good show, sad it's over but Ithink they did the right thing to make it just 3 episodes, otherwise you risk turning it into a lucifer style serial where every episode int he middle is nearly identical.

    Re: Dracula

And the rest of the gaps from end of Part One were in Part 3.....

Thought it would go on for longer than 3 episodes during Part 2 as not even reached England etc but twist made up for that and seemed a bit hurried in Part 3 introducing Renfield and Lucy characters.

But then second series could happen seeing as they like twists and who knows Episode 3 events could be a dream for all we know.

    Re: Dracula

I haven't a clue what was going on at the end...

And at this point, I'm not sure I want to know, it is unlikely to make it any less confusing.
