Yeah we have signed up to it also. 30 seasons of The Simpsons is more than enough for a few weeks lockdown. Must admit I have also been watching Phineas & Furb as my step son watched it a fair bit when he was younger and I really got into it.
There is a decent selection of stuff and I imagine we will see more Fox stuff in the coming weeks, hoping for King of the Hill and shows like The Orville. No reason for them not tobe putting more adult stuff on either as when setting a profile up it has the option for kids like Netflix where it hides all the adult stuff.
Yes I noticed that option, currently watching Simpsons, some Marvel stuff and the Mandolorian, shame only 2 epidosodes on there at the moment.
Only 2 of the Mandalorian? Didn't already launch on Disney+?
Ah, it's to keep you locked in, I guess.
Yeah looks that way unfortunately, was going to binge watch the entire series, then realised there was only two!
Releasing a service in the US six months before the rest of the world, allowing social media to be utterly swamped with memes and spoilers, and then only releasing the episodes weekly to the UK?
Guess the seven seas will be my home for a while longer.
Capitalist greed will always rise to the surface. Every. Single. Time.
When will TV/film learn what music (eventually) did: to beat piracy you need to make the legitimate way better and easier to use.
It's a shame as I avoided all the spoilers and was really getting into it then it just stopped and I thought that can't be right, looked at the episode list and yep just 2. Most other stuff seems to be on there but not sure how it compares with the US
Is Honey I Shrunk The Kids: The TV Show on there? Or is that still only available on Amazon Video (not part of Prime)?
I can see the reason for not dumping all of the Mandalorian on there. If they did that, a lot of people would take the 7-day free period, binge watch it, then not subscribe. This way, they get into it then subscribe to see the rest...
That's a shame, but thanks for checking.
I liked the TV show more than the original films (despite the lack of Rick Moranis) when watching Disney in the 90s.
How about the 1997 (according to a search, as there's a 1989 drama with the same name also owned by Disney) comedy TV show Teen Angel?
I'm assuming Sabrina The Teenage Witch is probably a no-go anyway, given Netflix has the rights to the character these days and therefore their darker version. Plus the possibility of being complicated by the fact that Sabrina was always shown on Nickelodeon in the UK (it wasn't until years later that I became aware it was a Disney-owned show despite her appearing in an episode of Boy Meets World and an episode of Teen Angel as a crossover event at the time, which makes the Kenan & Kel - which obviously definitely was a Nickelodeon show - clip included in one unrelated episode os Sabrina even more interesting).
No to both of them i'm afraid
Though Boy Meets World is on there
Thanks again for the clarifications.
It was more for curiosity purposes - but obviously expecting not - on the Sabrina front, mostly in case of the possibility of it having been on there in an upscaled format. I do actually have Sabrina The Teenage Witch on DVD anyway (as well as Boy Meets World).
I'll most likely subscribe to Disney+ at some point anyway (for the 7-day trial at the very least), but it would have been nice for everything I remembered to be on there. As usual it's likely another thing that's down to rights, but hopefully some things will end up on it at a later point.
I do agree with Hoonigan about licensing restrictions like all of this being wrong given the global reach available in 2020 though.
No probs :) For £5.99 a month its actually not bad for what you get and there is a lot of stuff to watch, I will probably keep it going for a bit.
That doesn't wash in this case. The Mandalorian was a brand new series created purely for Disney+. It has never been licenced elsewhere so could have been all put on from day 1.
Simple solution, make the free trial only allow you to watch up to 2 episodes of any given series. That way you provide an incentive to subscribe without penalising those who are paying you.
I wish I could subscribe, anyone knows when will it be available in Asia? So far I think is only available in the USA, Canada, and some European countries right?
Got it when it launched in the UK, basically only watched the mandalorian so far.. gf has loved it for all the Disney films though. As a few people mentioned with the Simpsons.. might try and go through them all from the start
The Mandalorian was a good watch! I hear the Clone Wars new eps are alright too - especially as Ray Park played Darth Maul again and was involved in a decent duel!
Anybody watched StarWars the Mandalorian ?
How did you like it ? The little one is adorable right ? :D
I really liked the pictures used and the classic StarWars touch to it. Just a pitty that the Mandalorian isn't very talkative. Would have been nice if they gave him some more character.
I enjoyed the first series, haven't watched the second yet.
Bit of fun :

Thanks to the internet and never ending youtube recommendations I actually know the ending which is a shame but yeah will get around to it at some point, so many unfinished programmes I am half way through, want to at least finish some of them
My watchlist is also very long. All old series and movies I have immediately packed on this list when I subscribed to disney+. Must also say that Disney has really good movies and series and now with all the Marvel movies is just great. With Marvel, the list was getting bigger and bigger. I think to look at all the movies on the list I would need like a month or so:mrgreen:
What made me keep my Disney+ subscription is the "Star" collection... still watching some of the series and films they added.
For some reason, my kids don't like the disney stuff... they prefer youtube. So I'll probably cancel once I watch everything I'm interested in. It'll probably take a while as I don't have much free time these days!
I already own most of the Disney, Marvel and Star Wars stuff on DVD/Blu-Ray.
