So I'd heard it mentioned, but hadn't given it much thought. I'd assumed it was some story set in America in the 18th / 19th century for some reason...needless to say I got it very wrong.

It's obviously very high poduction and even though I've only watched the first episode it seems like it's going to something a cut above most series.

Very intelligent, interesting premise, lots of world building to come it seems, can't wait!

We've started watching this as well. We're 3 episodes in and it definitely doesn't get any less weird.
I was a massive fan of Travis Fimmel in Vikings so it was awesome to see him appear in this, as you can see in your video thumbnail.

Would be interesting to see what others think of this series.

I'm not sure my girlfriend is too interested though, she steered us towards watching something different last night which isn't like her. Could end up watching this one myself.

I'm going to try the missus tonight Hoonigan, but I suspect it might be the same for me. A solo experience!

I never watched Vikings, but I've heard good things, maybe that's another one to consider in the near future.

I got 3 episodes in before giving up; while there was some interesting stuff going on, done in new ways, and sort of high production values, there was too much meh going on with far too much cliche and lazy tropes. Feels like a less camp version of Lost in Space, which had arguably higher production values.

If anyone knows what the source material is, I'm sure it's the sort of thing I'd enjoy a lot more than the tv show, but I can't seem to find it.
