    Dune 2021

Appears Dune has had a remake and is releasing on the 21st or 22nd depending on source.
I was listening to some Hans Zimmer and spotted a new album so had to check it out.

I confess to not seeing the 1984 original so I might have to jump on that.

This has to be one of the longest trailers but looks half decent.

    Re: Dune 2021

As well as the '84 film, there have been the odd series too.

But of course it's another film from the book, rather than a remake of any previous adaptations. Curious to see how how it turns out, there's a lot of plot in the book to cover with a single film.

I've read that they have written two films, based on the success of the first, the 2nd will be made.

Cool, two films might do it OK. What's the betting they never make part 2 though?

Sadly I was only aware of Dune well after buying C&C.
I'm fairly certain without Dune there would not have been C&C so regardless of whether I like the film or not, I can be thankful it spawned a lot of excellent memories.

Can't say I would advise that... At least read (or re-read) the book first, then watch the 1984 film, preferably with beers and mates and snacks and absolutely NO expectations.....
Then perhaps try the TV miniseries, before finishing with this new one.

I'm not a massive fan of Dune, but my friends who are can get quite particular about the various adaptations.

The reviews are good, and Bladerunner 2049 was a great cinematic experience. I will have to catch this when I can stream it on my TV,but Bladerunner 2049 definitely lost some of its impact on a TV.

    Re: Dune 2021

    Weird remake of Avatar.

But seriously, it's actually very well done. But it's only the first half, and if you aren't already a fan, it's a little more challenging. Definitely worth seeing!
