If you've got Apple TV this looks like it could be a good watch. I still remember Walking with Dinosaurs. Probably hasn't aged too well but fond memories nonetheless.

This is produced by BBC Studios Natural History Unit, so those of us without an Apple TV subscription might find this on the BBC in the future.... fingers crossed.
Can't currently see any mention of it though... Apple has probably paid mega bucks for initial exclusivity as well as funding a large proportion of the project.

It's interesting that John Favreau is executive producer, I wonder how he got involved with the project? The CGI definitely looks like it's a step up from 'Walking With Dinosaurs', that's for sure! Fingers crossed that it does eventually make it to the BBC

Only know him from Friends . Never knew him by name or realise just how much he's worked on. He's done a lot of films & work I just wouldn't watch.

I wonder if it was his director roles on the live action versions of The Lion King & The Jungle Book which gave him the skill set, considering how much money they both made probably made him quite desirable in that field.
I'd have thought the CGI processes would be quite similar along with the study of the animals for their characteristics & traits.

Walking With Dinosaurs is OK. The main issue is how it was pretty low-res in terms of the graphics, although the BBC managed to get away with reusing the footage for Andy's Dinosaur Adventures over on Cbeebies... and the target audience don't seem to complain much!
I'm certainly interested and if it's suitable for younger audiences, I expect it will be very popular in our house.

I got a lot of respect for Favreau after I saw the film Chef and learned about how personal a project it was for him, which happened around the same time he did a series of videos for Binging With Babish and went into detail about the recipes. I then learned he has done an awful lot of cool stuff that most people don't know about, so seeing his name on a project usually has me taking an interest. It's the only reason I agreed to watch The Mandalorian, really!
