    The Carrott

Well didn't expect to see this in one of my feeds this morning.
    http://highfieldproductions.com/jasp...tt/tour-dates/

Jasper Carrott touring! Thought he'd stopped completely 15+ years ago.

    Very tempted to go

One of my favourite Carrott moments from Canned Carrott:

Brilliant, and even more so to see my friend John Watterson as Fake Thackray... Some of you may remember my involvcement with the Jake Thackray Project back in 2001-2. John is dojng sterling work bring Jake's music old and VERY new (as in, never heard until now), plus some of his own Jake style material. Highly recommended if you like Jasper and Jake

It's a weird venue list though. Nothing remotely near me sadly. Unless they're only listing places with spaces left.

If he could only get Phil Cool to tour with him again, I'd be there like a shot - The two of them were perhaps THE most memorable comedians around during my more formative years. I can even quote you some Cool sketches pretty much verbatim!

    Not a bad price, either.

Sadly, it'd cost me more in travel, I think, than tickets. I liked his stuff, but not that much. Watch on TV? Yup. Go in person? Doubt it. Go a long way? Nope.

I'd travel to see it. But only by bus and only with my camel. Have you seen her?

    Re: The Carrott

Just got back from the show, Carrott was on top form and in great shape which surprised me!
It was literally like it was 30 years ago.

2 hours 15 mins went by very quickly!

I recognised only two sketches, it was mostly up to date or modified material for modern times, only 1 heckle which was well received.
Well worth it and highly recommended if anyone can go.

Fake Thackray was a great addition to the show, he was actually on twice so got to perform about 8-10 songs in total I think.

@g8ina - you'll probably already know this but he mentioned his autobiography on Jake Thackray, released late last year I think. He said it took him about 8 years to write interviewing many people including Jasper.
