I'd rather watch eastenders, *shudder*, than the champions league final, and while I do watch the dumbed down for the chavs 'Clarkson show', I mourn the loss of a serious motoring program.

TBH, both your examples I would include amongst the 'pop music' of television.

Edit: Actually thats a lie, I'd rather claw my eyes out than watch either Eastenders or a football game.

Jamster spent 3 millions of advertising for this single and Coldplay only spent 10 thousand. No wonder the frog got to the top spot.

I think a better chart is the one on audioscrobbler:

    Artists
    Tracks

They show what people are actually listening to, and you'll notice hat crazy from isn't even the top 100. What a surprise .

Bah! You only have to sell 20 copies of a single to reach number one nowadays. It means nothing!

Hehe, top gear and the champions league, if only you were being ironic.
To err is human. To really foul things up ... you need a computer.

I find it quite worrying that we are outnumbered by the chav/hill-billy nation that is buying it

Both quailty entertainment. Anyone who watched the Liverpool game and didn't enjoy it is either dead or simply confused.

As for Top Gear, its a billion times better now than it used to be, a contender for best prog currently on TV, something which Eastenders is very much not.

Men watch sport, motoring progs and the like, I am a man, I watch sport, motoring progs and the like.

As I say, you are all free to disagree with me and watch Eastenders. Give my regards to Dot.
