    Batman Begins

Just wondering if anyone here is eagerly anticipating the release of this film as there are only 11 days to go till it opens. Personally I myself and my bro are massive Batman fans although we never bought the comics, we loved the Tim Burton movies and Batman the animated series. At first I was sceptical after watching the initial trailers but after I watched this TV spot http://www.rustbucketbingo.com/video...allville-1.avi I was left blown away. The TV Spot itself is 10 mins long and 100 megs in size but to any film buff or Batman fan it's definitely worth the download. There are quite a few in depth bits shown from the film in this, so if you want to avoid spoilers of any kind I'd stay clear from this.

I cannot help being slightly annoyed by the tone of sarcasm in your last sentence hehe . Anyway here's a link to the plot outline of the film http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0372784/plotsummary and here 's Empire's review of the movie http://www.empireonline.co.uk/site/i...w.asp?FID=9770 giving it 4 stars which makes me want to go see it even more!

Basically its a "back to the roots" Batman - which scraps the previous films and goes to his origins...

Aww, come on, it was only in jest.

Thing is, and some will agree, they never make them as good as the originals. And when you start to get as many sequals as Police Acadamy it can get boring. I'm sure it will look good though and many will like it.

Its not a sequel/prequel... basically throws the previous ones out of the window and starts again. I'll reserve judgement on how well it works when i've seen it

Yeah it's more of a restart to the franchise which was definitely needed after the debacle of Batman & Robin. It's more in tune with the comics especially with the Batman Year One storyline if I'm not mistaken and it's definitely more character driven which I think most people want out of the series. Nolan is definitely going with the more psychological approach to the character of batman and I'm glad he's trying to take a realistic approach with it so it's not like the gothic style of Burton or the stupid comic multi colour shambles direction of Schumacher. After watching all the trailers and tv spots I honestly think its gonna be the best depiction of Batman ever on film.

Come on e-lan-go, give us a review !
Personally I thought it was amazing, if a little confusing at times.
Being in the front row didn't help much either, shame they didnt have reclining or horizontal chairs

I enjoyed it - and the choice of villans was interesting.

Glad to see they didn't do a "Nicholson" and definately kill them off

Christian Bale, a much under-rated British (Welsh) actor.
