I'm not trying to make a habit of hating every single singer you like hehe, but I honestly think that Ciara is just a pale imitation of Aaliyah and the way she disguises her weakness is by using the fact that she's a better dancer than a singer.

I guess im going to get flamed now eh. Fair enough i guess..
I can't stand Timberlake either and his singing is mediocre at best. I always thought he had a Michael Jackson complex in the way he sings, its like MJ stuck on his highest note continuously.

You obviously didn't read my post correctly, or I have misread this post - I have clearly not commented on Justin Timberlake's ability and talents. And no where did I state that he produced it; the guy who produced it is Timothy 'Timbaland' Z Mosley, who is featured in the video as the guy in the car. Justin doesn't produce anything. However eventhough the song may not be to your taste, it clearly is to others as his album 'Justified' was one of the biggest selling albums of 2003, and had quite a few Timbaland and Neptunes beats on them.

Also I think it's quite wrong to critcize me on my opinions when I could just as easily say someone in your taste of music has no talents etc.

I think what people forget though is that if a people actually make it well out there, from 50 cent to Slipknot, they have a target audience and they are giving people music they enjoy, which they should be credited for. People like to hate aswell, it's natural, and it's often that of the different music style. But those should also try to be reasonable and not biased when making such judgements.

I know what you mean about Ciara btw e-LAN-go, I actually feel that Kiley Dean is a massive imitation of Aaliyah (but not a good enough one) and you might agree if you heard her Timbaland material. Theres one song called 'Make me a Song', where she sings the exact 'rock the boat' thing, and tbh she sounds like a clone right there.

Aye, if that was a stab at unreals tastes, dangerous_dom, you clearly just saw the name "Justin Timberlake" in one of his posts and decided to rant - despite the fact he was just using it as an example of the wide ranging producing ability of his "Music Idol".

And even if he or anyone did like Justin Timberlake, you shouldn't just jump on them 'cos of that! (Like i'm jumping on you ) (And no I'm not a Timberlake fan either!)

Now cry me a river or i'm gonna rock your body :S

Fair enough chaps, I was not really having a stab an anyone personally, just having a rant and expressing MY opinion. And no, i did not read the original post properly, so sorry for that. No offence intented Unreal mate.

May i however point out that sales figures or 'bigest selling album of blah' does not equate to tallent though. We live in a chav dominated world these days. Look at the Crazy frog sales. The charts are mainly driven by young teanagers buying stuff because A) they 'fancy' the singer B) Thier peers listen to it C) Kids will aways crave an identity/image D) I has lots of swear words in it. Generally the charts, i.e. highs selling music, has nothing to do with production values anymore. Album sales are a bit different but going the same way. But hey ho.

I would list some of my favourite bands/artists but i don't think anyone here would have heard of them!

Jason was pure energy, he brought alot to Metallica. When I first saw them play live (On TV) at the Freddie Mercury tribute, I was blown away. I thought that dude is amazing (the others as well).

I already knew some of their stuff and had a couple of albums, but watching them play those 3 songs turned me into a massive fan.

    OOooo sweet memories

I agree with you there, although I still stick to my other point of the target audience thing. But you are definately correct on that. I know a lot of people who simply 'liked' "The Game - This is how we do" because it was cool to like it. I never agree with that philosophy ever because you will never enjoy what you are listening to, even if you think you are. I guess one reason why I'm so proud of listening to Timbaland is because I know that I am not following anyone's shoes and I can idependently appreciate his work and listen to what hiphop should have more, in my opinion (At the moment I'm listening to a track of his called 'Rockin' the Show, which has sampled the fat lady (lol) from the musical Carmen), which is just creative and more ... well just more good! But all the artists would be poor because he charges quite a bit for his beats...
