I can also understand idolising the Gwai(yeah man, im with ya ) or Godspeed you! Black Emperor.

GY!BE would probably be my music Idols, since they're this band who could be millionaires, they've had offers for millions from major major film producers and record companies, and yet they stick to living in squats in montreal warehouses, making their own clothes, and not letting their fans know what they look like so they can mix with them before gigs. Very cool people.

Other then that Cliff martinez, who most likely only huge Chilli Peppers fans will have heard of, he drummed with them in the early 90's I believe, but now he makes film soundtracks, and the OST to solaris is my most listened to piece of music, by a very very large margin.

GY!BE are also amazing, but you really have to sit down and listen to that stuff, no interruptions. At the moment there is a chap who goes under the name Iron and Wine who is a true genius. All of his stuff is worth listening to. Kind of alternative folk/country that really hits you deep inside. Almost to tears tbh. Great stuff.

You are in Chingford? You are unbelievably close (Walthamstow here )

On another note, Timbaland has been training a young producer protége called 'Danjahandz', and hes come out with a fully produced rap track, with the ghosting of Timbaland (ie he lent a hand here and there). He's made a few tracks before, and he co produced 'Put You On The Game', but now this track is really fantastic. It's called 'What You Want', part of the Notorious B.I.G Duets album. The amount of features on the instrumental are stunning, and he has taken many of the best techniques of Timbaland and tried them out for himself...

I have too many heroes to name just the one but at the mo it has to be Tyler Hilton or The Spill Canvas.
Tyler Hilton cos he has influenced my songs alot lately and am now playing alot of acoustic gigs, woooooo (anyone in the warrington - Chester areas ill be playing around and about in various places, will find out where soon, please come and support)
and the spill canvas cos they are the reason that i dropped my electric and picked up my acoustic and play their songs for people, if it wasnt for that then i would still be playing in my room instead of in clubs, gigs and even pubs (lmao i know it dont sound like much but when u think of it im only 17 )

    anywho they are my heroes.
