I think Jacob is Jack.
Jacob said "Help Me" to locke, and Locke is trying to help Jack by not letting him leave the island.
On Eckos stick, it said "The Lord is My Shepard" Psalm 23, - Jack Shepard, and Episode 23 was all about Jack.
Anyway, in the coffin I am assuming it is Ben, as the coffin is not a 7ft coffin, and Jack said he is neither friend or family of the person in the coffin
Jack could well be jacob, but the guy in the coffin is Michael. Another rumour is that Locke is Jacob but from the future and is trapped in the shack thanks to Ben using island mojo to keep him inside.Originally Posted by DeludedGuy

i love lost, another good if not the best tv show out there is Heroes. which follows people who have special powers round
i cant wait for the new series to start. how many episodes is it gunna be? i heard its going to be cut down so that they can do a total of 3 more series before it ends...

Do guys think that the next 3 series will be set in the future, ie there off the island and the flashbacks are from when they was in the Island?
16 episodes for the last 3 seasons with season 4 starting January 2008 in the US

I'm going to have to kill tomorrow in Tallahassee and I was looking for things to do and I stumbled on to this. According to wikipedia, Tallahassee is a hellmouth or nexus for Lost characters. Has anyone actually noticed this?
I'll be content provided I don't end up with the same souvenir as Sawyer...
OMFG!!!! Hands down that was the most AMAZING episode of ANY TV show I have ever seen! The action, storyline and tension was top notch. It was like watching a movie only this is better than most crap shown in the big screen (cough cough Indiana).
I am simply blown away on how well they ended season 4. I know why this show is the best on earth and I am looking forward to season 5!! Bring it on
I thought the Season Finale for House MD was better than this, but the lost finale was fairly gripping too, although now it's totally taken the biscuit of being remotely realistic, which I guess isn't too important.

But to be honest I would have thought after the Island did its thing and after the mercenaries saw the black smoke monsters, people would react more realistically and be asking WHAT THE HELLLLLLL and shouting and panicking. But instead it was like 'Hmm, that wasn't expected.'
And the theory of who Jacob is makes sense, since Jack is apparently being pushed to go back to the Island and some reason his dad has made a lot of appearances, in particular as the spokesperson for Jacob.
Is the Island manmade then? With all the hatches and stuff located all around the Island, and then the random mystic wheel in the Icy bit. And has Pennys dad got anything to do with Dharma? Because with the Protocol 2 thing the mercenary got from him, it had the Dharma logo on there. lol.
I still need to watch the second half of the House Season but I will take that as a recommendation
I thought it was a very good finale, one the best lost episodes in some time..something actually happened for once
Still it raises more questions than it does answer them but nevermind that is what you come to expect of it.
There is only 2 more seasons apparently so a lot of things to explain in 32 epidisodes..
It's been a weird season. At the end of the last one you had a snippet of Jack pleading with Kate to go back to the island. Then this.
It was a good ending, are they going all prison break on us?? being Lost but not actually lost?!
I just hope to god they dont try and just sweep some of the stuff under the carpet, like the smoke monster thing and all the other little bits and bobs
I saw some of it, plus the interview with the two writer types afterwards. From the thirty seven or so times they stressed they weren't making it up as they went along I've become even more convinced that they're making it up as they go along.
I wish you had spoiled that one for me.. Talk about depressing tut.
I thought the situation was that they're contracted to do 4 more seasons (which would be 24 episodes going on previous seasons) but the creators/writers cba and want to get things wrapped up sooner rather than later. As they have to do 4 seasons the best they can do is make 4 seasons of 16 episodes (the minimum amount in order for it to count as a full series) which would minimise the amount of writing/filming. That means we should be expecting three more seasons (48 episodes).
I've not really read up on this and things may have changed but this is my understanding at least.
As I understood it they were going to do 4 or 5 mini seasons but due to the writers strike decided to do 3x 16 episode seasons, the first of which has just finished but I don't know for sure either lol
Pretty sure it finishes in 2010 so that works out as 2 more seasons anyway
